Terms of use

The rules for playing and creating games on BentGame. The short version: games are simple and safe for work, paid plays always unlock what they promise, and rewards are content, never cash.

1. About BentGame and these terms

BentGame (“BentGame”, “we”, “us”) runs bentgame.com, a platform where content creators turn their photos and videos into simple games, and where players play those games for fun or to unlock content.

These terms of use (“Terms”) apply to everyone who visits or uses BentGame: players, creators and guests. By creating an account or using BentGame you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use BentGame.

In these Terms:

  • Creator means a user who publishes photos, videos or other media (“Creator Content”) and builds games with it.
  • Player means a user who plays games on BentGame.
  • Free game means a game that costs nothing to play.
  • Reward game means a game that costs credits to play and always ends by unlocking the reward described before play.
  • Reward means access to Creator Content unlocked through a game.
  • Credits means the prepaid units used to play reward games.

2. Who can use BentGame

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, buy credits or publish games.
  • You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away at support@bentgame.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
  • One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Accounts are personal and can’t be sold or transferred.

3. A safe-for-work platform

BentGame is a safe-for-work (SFW) platform. All games, profiles and Creator Content must be suitable for a general adult audience. You must not publish or share:

  • nudity, sexual or sexually suggestive content, or links to it;
  • any content featuring a person under 18;
  • graphic violence, gore, self-harm or content that encourages dangerous behaviour;
  • hate speech, harassment, bullying or threats;
  • content that is illegal where you or your players are, including content that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • images or videos of real people who have not agreed to appear in them;
  • scams, spam, malware or misleading content.

We may review, restrict or remove any content or game that breaks these rules, and suspend or close the accounts involved.

4. Games and rewards

BentGame offers simple games built around Creator Content. Creators choose whether each game is a free game or a reward game, and what it unlocks.

  • Free games never require payment. They may include rewards, such as a bonus image, which are always digital Creator Content.
  • Reward games show their price in credits and what they unlock before you play. Every paid play delivers the reward described. Games only affect how and in what order content is revealed, not whether you receive it.
  • Rewards give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view the unlocked Creator Content on BentGame, under the rules in “Using content you unlock”.
  • Rewards have no cash value. They can’t be sold, traded, transferred, withdrawn or exchanged for money, credits or anything else.

5. No gambling

BentGame is not a gambling service. We don’t offer betting, lotteries, raffles, sweepstakes or games in which you pay for a chance to win a prize.

  • A game that costs credits must always deliver its stated reward. Creators must not build or describe paid games around luck, odds or the chance of winning.
  • Creators must not use BentGame to run competitions, prize draws or giveaways that offer money, physical goods or anything with a cash value, on or off the platform.
  • Game descriptions must not use gambling language or imagery that suggests paying to try your luck.

We may remove any game that doesn’t follow these rules, refund affected players and suspend the creator’s account.

6. Credits and payments

  • Credits are sold at the prices shown on BentGame at the time of purchase. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we don’t store your full card details.
  • Credits are a prepaid way to play reward games. They are not money, are not a deposit and earn no interest. They have no cash value and can’t be withdrawn, transferred to another account or exchanged for money.
  • Credits don’t expire while your account is open.
  • Refunds and your right of withdrawal. Credits are digital content supplied immediately. When you buy credits you ask us to supply them straight away and acknowledge that, once supplied, you lose the right to cancel within 14 days that consumers in the EU, EEA and UK otherwise have. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights if credits are faulty or not supplied as described. If something goes wrong with a purchase or a reward game, contact us and we’ll put it right, which may include restoring or refunding credits.
  • If we close your account for a reason that isn’t your fault, we’ll refund unused credits you paid for. If we close it because you broke these Terms, unused credits may be forfeited where the law allows.

7. For creators

  • You must own, or have permission to use, all Creator Content you upload, including the consent of every person shown.
  • You keep ownership of your Creator Content. You give BentGame a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, adapt (for example by cropping, resizing or splitting images for a game) and distribute it in order to run BentGame, deliver rewards to players and promote your page and games on BentGame and its channels. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies players have already unlocked and reasonable backup copies.
  • Earnings. You receive the revenue share shown on our creator pages (currently 80%) of what players spend on your reward games, calculated as shown in your account. Free games don’t generate earnings.
  • Payouts. We pay earnings to the payout method in your account, on the schedule and above the minimum shown there. We may hold or reverse earnings linked to refunds, chargebacks, fraud or breaches of these Terms.
  • Taxes. You are responsible for declaring and paying taxes on your earnings. We may be required by law to collect information about you and your earnings and report it to tax authorities (for example under the EU DAC7 rules), and we may hold payouts until you provide it.

8. Using content you unlock

  • You may view Creator Content you unlock for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment on BentGame.
  • You must not copy, download (unless the game offers a download), share, sell, republish or use Creator Content to train AI models without the creator’s permission.
  • Creator Content is the responsibility of the creator who published it. We don’t endorse it and can’t guarantee its accuracy or quality, though we act on reports.

9. Fair play and prohibited uses

You must not:

  • cheat, exploit bugs, use bots or scripts, or interfere with how games decide what they reveal;
  • access rewards, accounts or data you’re not entitled to, or try to get around payments;
  • scrape, harvest or bulk-download content or data from BentGame;
  • impersonate BentGame, a creator or any other person;
  • send spam or unsolicited promotions;
  • use BentGame in any way that breaks the law or harms other users, BentGame or minors.

If you find a bug or a security problem, please tell us at support@bentgame.com instead of using it.

10. Reporting content and complaints

  • Anyone can report a game, profile or piece of content that breaks these Terms by emailing safety@bentgame.com with a link and a short description.
  • We review reports promptly and may remove content, restrict games or suspend accounts. Where it’s safe and lawful, we’ll tell the creator what was removed and why.
  • If you disagree with a decision about your content or account, reply to our message or email support@bentgame.com and a person will review it.
  • We report illegal content to the authorities where the law requires it.

11. BentGame’s intellectual property

BentGame’s software, design, games, logos and name belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or use them, except as needed to use BentGame normally, without our written permission. Creator Content is not ours and belongs to its creators.

12. Suspension and closing your account

  • You can close your account at any time from your settings or by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or close an account, or remove games and content, if you break these Terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect players, creators or BentGame. Where reasonable, we’ll give notice and a reason first.
  • Sections that by their nature should continue after closure (for example on earnings already owed, intellectual property and liability) remain in effect.

13. Disclaimer

We work hard to keep BentGame running well, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise that BentGame will always be available, error-free or secure, or that it will meet your particular needs.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, BentGame is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, revenue or data, or for content and conduct of other users. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to BentGame is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and EUR 100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. If a change is material, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email or on BentGame. If you keep using BentGame after that date, the new Terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can close your account before then.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, and the courts of Switzerland have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and can bring a claim in your local courts.

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we don’t give it up. These Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about BentGame.
